The author behind this book is the great Ryan Clark. With fundamentals, so you can create your very own tricks that will help blend well with the environment and the time. It is based more on using the basic principles of mentalism. Lastly, the extremely hardcore stuff, which many self-claiming magicians have never gotten their minds to really grasp. From there, a bit harder skills are revealed. This program works on helping a total newbie first learn the basics, understand them fully, and then get to put them into practice. This is a 200-page book of pure magical tricks taught in the simplest way possible. It brings together the most amazing ancient tricks from very famous guys like David Blaine, Chris Angel, David Copperfield, and Derren Brown among other greats! Master Mentalism is the world's best place to uncover secrets to: Mentalism, Mind Reading, Street Magic, Card Tricks, Hypnotism, Spoon Bending, Illusions, Remote Viewing & Much, Much More! Uncover some of the most exciting tricks performed by the world's most popular mentalists. Information on these can be found with a search here on the café.Learn how to become a mentalist. I also suggest the Richard Osterlind’s DVD series put out by L&L and Richard’s companion notes, Banachek’s DVD series, and Mark Spillman’s series. Some are better than others, some general as far as material, others more specialized. This is just a basic beginning of a list that could contain hundreds of books. This material is also dated, but the ideas and concepts are timeless.
Additionally PRACTICAL MENTAL MAGIC by Annemann is a classic text of effects taken from the JINX. The material is a bit dated and would require reframing. It can be found at most magic shops as well.ġ3 STEPS by Corinda is a course in mentalism full of effects and concepts as well as the “how’s” and “why’s” of performance. It is a wonderful book of ideas and concepts, but not ideal for the person just entering into the field. MIND MYTH AND MAGIC is a master’s course in mentalism, but requires you to create your own presentations for the pieces. These can be found in most magic shops and are available from the author (also a member here). Well thought out routines and the performance of mentalism can be found in the MENTALISM INCORPORATED books by Chuck Hickok. PARAMIRICLES by Ted Leslie is a fantastic work, but is hard to find. If you are looking for well constructed routines ready for performance that you could add directly to your repertoire, any and all of Larry Becker's works would fit that requirement.
